The gamma irradiation can promote the agronomic characters of plant. This study aims to obtain putative mutant genotype 3rd generation Samosir local shallot (M1V3), which highly yields. used augmented design in 8 genotypes from 2nd after (γ)-ray treatment were planted along with untreated. differences between plants and untreated tested by t-test: Similarity distance dendrogram analyzed using hierarchical cluster. results showed that almost all mean values made quantitative character changes M1V3 populations higher than those M1V2. expected high heritability value a broad coefficient genetic diversity was found fresh dried bulb’s weight resulted treated γ rays doses 3, 4 5 Gy.
